Sara Nelson is the VP, Executive Editor and Special Advisor to the Publisher at Harper and imprint of HarperCollins Publishers. She will acquire fiction and non-fiction titles for the imprint, and will work closely with Publisher Jonathan Burnham, as a strategic advisor.
Sara Nelson has been the Editorial Director for Books and Kindle at Amazon since 2012. While at the retailer, she raised the profile of Amazon's editorial program, launched the Amazon Book Review, and managed a team of editors and writers. She was previously the Books Editor at O, the Oprah magazine, where she started Oprah's Book Club 2.0. Before that, she was Editor-in-Chief of Publishers Weekly, where she reinvigorated the print magazine and upgraded the digital version. She is the author of So Many Books, So Little Time.
