Gareth Jarrett

Director of Book Publishing Services, Taylor & Francis Group

Apart for a period spent in Canada selling astronomical telescopes, Gareth has spent 23 years in publishing in the UK, first in trade publishing with the Penguin Group and more recently in academic publishing with Taylor & Francis Group where he is now Director of Book Publishing Services. Whilst at T&F he has overseen the expansion of a Print on Demand programme that now has over 130,000 isbns available POD in up to 5 markets, alongside a growing auto-replenishment programme, with the express intention of maximising availability of T&F’s large stable of titles across the globe without flooding the planet with excess stock. Put simply, Gareth believes that if print books are to remain relevant and successful in a changing world, we need to embrace multiple ways of getting books into customers hands, quickly and with minimum waste.
